The Skill Systems
The shooting
and 1-on-1 systems of play are the most sound, teachable
systems in the game. The students learn how to coach themselves.
They take home with them the drills they will continue to
practice to accelerate their basketball progress.
The
Master Teaching System
Every camp follows a preset curriculum that
is organized to bring continuity to learning the complex
skills of the game. Every gym has a "Master Teacher" that
explains and demonstrates each skill and situation before
it is executed in small groups at each basket.
The
Staff
Our
coaches are caring, positive and demanding, all at the same
time. Young people learn first hand that learning, hard
work, and enjoyment can go hand in hand. All students feel
a sense of belonging with this staff.
Demonstrators
The
visual picture is a major part of learning physical skills.
Demonstrators are students who have finished high school,
have been through our camps and are accomplished products
of what we teach and who we are. They consistently demonstrate
the skills in proper form.
Student-Coach Ratio
Approximately 10-1 ratio gives maximum personal
instruction on the court as well as quality supervision
off the court.
Moral
Values & Spiritual Principles
These are an integral part of all camp activities both
in word and action. They are presented in an "easy fashion"
so that young people see that all endeavors are enhanced
by proper balance and perspective. God has a plan for us
to live by. This gives special flavor to camp as all are
encouraged to "put their best foot forward."
Primary
Interest
The
camps are not a sideline, but are our primary interest.
There is much thought and planning that goes into every
minute of camp.
